In Late 2005, 'The Bicycle Thief' opened in what was once the site of a covered carpark, housing a dozen or so cars.
'The Bicycle thief' was named after the Italian film of 1948 'Ladri di Biciclette', (which translates literally as 'bicycle thieves') the movie is set in poverty stricken post World War II Rome and tells the story of a man struggling to support his family.
After 18 months queuing for work he is finally offered a job, which is dependent upon having a bicycle, tragically on his first day of work it is stolen and the remainder of the film involves him desperately searching the streets of Rome to get his bicycle back.
